    The Wesleyan Society

    Established in 1995

The Wesleyan Society is a community of individuals and organizations who pledge to become partners in a shared vision for West Virginia Wesleyan College.  Society members believe in West Virginia Wesleyan and its mission and express that support with gifts of $1,000 or more each year.  Members continue to remain firm in their commitment to transform the lives of those who join the Wesleyan community.

We invite you to be a part of our growing tradition.  The Wesleyan Society membership is based on fiscal year (July 1 – June 30) giving.  Members of The Wesleyan Society will receive a quarterly e-newsletter from the President, have access to a member only Facebook group, and are invited to special campus and regional events.

  • The Reger Society

    The John W. Reger Society

The John W. Reger Society is named after one of West Virginia Wesleyan’s first trustees and major benefactors. It is a cumulative recognition society for those persons who make Wesleyan a part of their estate or gift planning. Membership may be secured by including the college in your will, making Wesleyan the owner or beneficiary of insurance policies, or by participating in any of the various lifetime income plans the college has available.

Membership in the society will be permanent; that is, it will continue from year to year throughout the member’s lifetime so long as the commitment remains in effect.

The membership roster is displayed prominently in Wesleyan’s annual donor recognition report. A membership certificate also is provided to all members.

Historically, Wesleyan has made its longest strides toward fiscal stability through bequests and significant planned gifts, while annual gifts allow the college to continue its operations from year to year. Through the John W. Reger Society, recognition is given to those who are willing to affirm their belief in West Virginia Wesleyan College.

All that is necessary to qualify for inclusion in the society is to inform the college of the provision you have made to include Wesleyan in your estate plan. The amount of the gift arrangement is not a determining factor, but the fact that you have made a commitment is.

There are those who will not want publicity related to their gift or estate planning. Those memberships may be listed as “anonymous.” Be assured that any information you provide to us concerning the details of your estate plan will be held in the strictest confidence.

If West Virginia Wesleyan College is in your estate plan, let us know. If you have been thinking of including Wesleyan in your will or gift planning, or need further information or assistance, we would like to hear from you. Please contact Joshua Stump at 304-473-8600 or stump.j@uupt.net.

  • Transcripts

Students who are attending or have attended West Virginia Wesleyan College are entitled to an official transcript of the work they have completed, provided they have cleared all outstanding accounts. West Virginia Wesleyan College uses Parchment as its trusted agent for processing official transcript requests. This process is completely secure. Transcript delivery method options include U.S. Mail delivery or electronic delivery (PDF format).  Current West Virginia Wesleyan College students can view and download their unofficial transcripts via WebAdvisor or Self-Service. Once a student is no longer enrolled, the College does not process requests for unofficial transcripts.

In order to comply with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA), all transcript orders require authorization through the establishment of a Parchment account.  Transcripts are $10 for each electronic delivered copy and $12.50 for each paper copy. Charges are applied at the time the order is placed. Requests are typically processed in 2-3 working days following approval by the Office of Student Accounts.  FedEx requests for domestic and international shipping require additional charges.
